State of Palestine: Hamas relaunches 'Vanguards of Liberation' youth camps
The Izz ad-Din al-Qassam brigades, the military wing of the Palestinian Hamas resistance organisation, relaunched its "Vanguards of Liberation" training camps for youths for the third time in Gaza, Friday, a year after the most recent Israeli war on the coastal territory.
The Vanguards of Liberation camps will be held over seven days and are expected to attract thousands of students, which al-Qassam states will form the nuclei of the next liberation project. The camps include military drills and skill training, live shooting, courses in civil defence and first aid, as well as religious sermons.
Registration for the camps began in June and targeted four basic categories: 15 to 17 years, 18 to 25 years, over 25 years, and for people with greater expertise who had already graduated from previous Vanguards of Liberation training camps.
