
Spain: Shooting hits Barcelona's iconic La Rambla, police secure area
Two gunmen opened fire at a hotel near Barcelona’s busy La Rambla street, Tuesday, injuring several people before fleeing the scene. One person is reported to have sustained serious injuries, while several others received bullet and knife wounds.
A manhunt is now underway for the two gunmen, who remain unidentified. One of the shooters is reported to have been shot dead by police although this remains unverified.
The attack took place at the intersection between the La Rambla and Pinto Fortuny streets, where the gunmen sprayed the Hotel Silken with multiple bullets.
