USA: Israeli organisation fumes against Iran deal with LA protest
Hundreds of people gathered in front of the Federal Building of Los Angeles, Saturday, to protest against the nuclear deal reached between Iran and the P5+1 group in early July.
Participants waved US and Israeli flags, whilst others hung banners expressing their concerns about the nuclear agreement with Iran. The rally was called by StandWithUs, an Israeli organisation.
On July 14, the world's major powers agreed to relieve some sanctions imposed on Iran in return for Iran accepting curbs on its nuclear programme. Under this agreement, Iran is able to maintain its nuclear infrastructure for energetic purposes. The text, signed by the P5+1 group and Iran on Vienna, has an estimated 100 pages.
Israel have criticised the deal, with Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu calling the deal a "historic mistake."
