Germany: Restaurant names dishes after Greek debt crisis politicians

Greek restaurant owner Georgios Chrissidis showed off his novel menu containing dishes named after the politicians involved in the Greek debt crisis in Berlin, Friday. Diners at Restaurant Z can tuck into dishes including the 'Varoufakis Plate' and the 'Tsipras Love'.

Chrissidis said that after being "depressed" by the Greek debt crisis he thought he'd name the dishes after the major players involved in the negotiations. The Restaurateur spoke of his favourite dish, the 'Schauble Exit', which partly consists of a lamb shank. He came up with the idea after getting stuck in a traffic jam of sheep whilst driving in Greece. Chrissidis said that the sheep's refusal to move "is just like Schauble".

The Greek native said he's had nothing but positive responses to the renaming of his dishes, and has enjoyed the political conversations they have initiated.
