
Ukraine: Fire rages after Donetsk shelling, residential homes battered
Shelling blighted Donetsk on Saturday, as ceasefire violations continue to inflict huge damage in eastern Ukraine. Footage shows a fire raging at the top of a building caught in the crossfire, along with damaged homes and other residential buildings.
Reports from the self-proclaimed Donetsk People's Republic (DPR/DNR) state there have been 49 reported violations of the Minsk accords on Saturday alone. One person was reportedly killed.
The attack struck the Kuibyshevsky and Voroshilovsky districts of the city, with one blast reportedly destroying a trolleybus depot.
According to OSCE observers, the Minsk agreements have continuously been violated, particularly in the area surrounding Donetsk's airport.
The latest figures released by the Office of the High Commissioner for Human Rights indicate that the death toll from the conflict in eastern Ukraine now stands at over 6,400.
