      Finland: "Important" to impose "tough" conditions on Greece - FinMin Stubb

      Members of the Finnish Grand Committee in Helsinki gave their approval to begin negotiations for the new Greek bailout programme, Thursday.

      Deputy Prime Minister Timo Soini said the decision was "very hard to make" while Finance Minister Alexander Stubb underlined the importance of agreeing on "tough" conditions for Greece, something he believes was "materialised" in the conclusion of the talks between the small, southern European country and its powerful creditors.

      The Greek parliament approved the economic reforms demanded by the country's creditors early Thursday morning, paving the way for a new €86 billion ($95 billion) bailout package. A total of 229 MPs voted 'yes' and just 64 voted 'no' in the vote.
