Greece: Athens protesters set van on fire
As Greek politicians vote on the contentious bailout programme accepted by the Syriza leadership led by Alexis Tsipras, opposition activists have taken to Syntagma Square where violence has erupted, Wednesday.
A huge police presence on the square did not stop activists from engaging in violence, with Molotov cocktails thrown at police lines and a white van set alight in the process.
The agreement, if backed by the Greek Parliament, will give way to a fresh package of austerity measures and economic reforms in exchange for a €86 billion ($95 billion) bailout and the securing of Greece's place in the eurozone.
