Russia: Putin talks future prospects with young scientists
Russian President Vladimir Putin discussed the development of Russia with the young scientists and teachers working at the Terra Scientia Youth Forum in the city of Vladimir, Tuesday.
Putin advised those gathered that is was wrong for people to be condemned for seeking employment abroad, saying "Our country is free and a person has the right to live and to work where he or she wants," the president told them. He added that "we should not just be so jingoistic, saying: 'No! Stay here! Don't go anywhere! Those who left are villains and traitors!' This is not true." He also stressed that in the future Russia will continue to develop its economy, aiming to make it both "innovative and modern".
