Austria: "No extension" but "still work to do" - Iranian FM Javad Zarif
The P5+1 group and Iran "still have work to do" to reach a final agreement on Tehran's nuclear programme, Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif said to the press at Palais Coburg in Vienna on Sunday.
When journalists asked him if the negotiating parties were "almost done," Zarif responded by saying there is still some work to do before a final conclusion is reached. The top Iranian diplomat added that the deadline would not be extended.
The negotiators are aiming to reach a provisional agreement on Sunday and the deal could be finalised by Monday. The parties originally agreed on a June 30 deadline but were forced to change the date several times due to a failure to reach an agreement on certain points.
