Russia: Building collapses in Perm, one person killed

One person was killed and several people were injured after a residential building collapsed in Perm, Saturday morning.

The residents of the house were evacuated after eight flats from the second to the fifth floor were severely damaged. Seven people received medical treatment, four of whom had to be hospitalised due to their injuries.

The Investigative Committee has opened up a criminal case and is inquiring whether the redevelopment of office space on the ground floor may have been the primary cause of the collapse.
