
USA: The Walking Dead cast discuss season 6 during Comic-Con appearance
The cast of AMC's The Walking Dead attended Comic-Con 2105 in San Diego to present the trailer for the new season of the show, season six, Friday. Andrew Lincoln, Norman Reedus, Steven Yeun, Lauren Cohan, Danai Gurira, Melissa McBride, Chandler Riggs, Sonequa Martin-Green, Michael Cudlitz, Lennie James, executive producer and showrunner Scott M. Gimple, and executive producers Gale Anne Hurd, Dave Alpert and Greg Nicotero were all present.
Andrew Lincoln who plays Rick Grimes, recalled in instance where he had to get naked in a shower during the filming process. "That was one of the most weird filming days of my life," he added. Danai Gurira spoke of her character, Michonne's relationship with Carol Peletier who is played by Melissa McBride, while Norman Reedus spoke of a scene where his character Daryl Dixon starts shooting zombies in the head.
Season six's premiere is set to be shown on October 11th and will last 90 minutes. The new season will be shown internationally in 125 countries within 24 hours of its debut in America, executive producer Gale Anne Hurd is reported to have told fans.
The television show's season five, episode one set a record in terms of viewers, with a total of around 17.3 million people tuning in when it aired on October 12, 2014.
