Russia: Iran deal faces "no insurmountable problems" - Lavrov
Negotiations on Iran's nuclear programme are approaching their end-point, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said in Ufa, Thursday, adding that Russia is advocating that an arms embargo be among the first of the sanctions to be lifted.
Speaking at the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation summit, Lavrov also stated that the SCO and BRICS countries have agreed to declare "terrorist" organisations such as the Islamic State, the al-Nusra Front and others "the absolute evil," which have to be tackled.
The diplomat also commented on Crimea, stating that "the question [...] is closed. It was closed by the people of Crimea and the decisions that were taken by Russia in response to the clearly expressed will of the people of Crimea."
