
Austria: Iran nuclear talks will continue Thursday, says British FM Hammond
British Foreign Secretary Philip Hammond announced that the P5+1 foreign ministers and Iran's delegation would reconvene for talks on Tehran's nuclear program on Thursday whilst talking to press outside the Palais Coburg in Vienna, Tuesday.
Hammond appeared optimistic that a deal between the P5+1 group and Iran could be reached, stating that he was looking "forward to making some solid progress on Thursday". According to Hammond negotiations will go on in Vienna between the parties on Tuesday night at a political director level.
After intense negotiations in various formats on Monday and Tuesday, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov and his French counterpart Laurent Fabius departed from Vienna on Tuesday afternoon. Lavrov stated that there was still eight or nine points deputies should work on during the next couple of days to help finalise the agreement with Iran, putting an end to 12 years of dispute between the P5+1 powers and Tehran over its nuclear program.
