Belgium: Gas factory assault is "terrorist attack" - Hollande
French President Francois Hollande said Friday's attack on a factory in Saint-Quentin-Fallavier in eastern France, was without doubt a "terrorist attack". He made the comments in Brussels where he was attending a European Council summit.
A man has reportedly been decapitated and another two injured in the attack. The assailant is purported to have been waving an 'Islamic' flag as he entered the compound in a car, detonating several gas canisters.
Police evacuated the factory compound, owned by a French subsidiary of the US-headquartered Air Products which reportedly contains potentially dangerous gas and chemical products. Police later found the body of a beheaded man.
French Interior Minister Bernard Cazeneuve arrived on the scene shortly after the attack.
