Russia: Putin visits ARMY-2015, the federation's biggest ever arms expo

Russian President Vladimir Putin visited the International Military-Technical Forum 'Army-2015' in the Moscow Region on Tuesday.

In the company of military officials, the Russian leader toured the exhibition at the pavilion, checking out the latest military fatigues and equipment on show. He was later was shown samples of high-tech products, as well as information systems for military personnel.

Drawing from all the branches of the Russian armed forces, aerospace and strategic missile defence units, the federation's ground forces, air forces and the navy are all set to take part.

The expo is organised by the Ministry of Defence of the Russian Federation and runs from June 16 to 19. The forum is a platform for interaction between defence industries and military authorities to facilitate innovative research and development in military technologies and equipment.
