Syria: Twin bomb attack injures 35 in war-torn Homs

At least 35 people were wounded in twin bomb attacks in the Syrian city of Homs on Sunday.

A minibus laden with 500 kilograms (1,102lbs) of explosives was detonated near a high school, injuring around 25 people in the in Karam al-Louz district. The second blast appeared to target a Fire Station and left at least 10 wounded.

The areas in the blast radius of the bombs were severely damaged, with many homes having their windows blown out and their walls peppered with shrapnel.

The Karam al-Louz district is known for its loyalty to Syrian President Bashar al-Assad and has been the target of attacks in the past.
