
Norway: Germans joins 'Arctic Challenge' drills in historic first
The German Air Force took part in the 'Arctic Challenge Exercise' (ACE) drills in Bodo, Wednesday.
Kitted with the Eurofighter Typhoon, this is the first year the Germans have taken part in the huge drills, which feature at least 100 aircraft belonging to the Air Forces of the three Nordic countries. Additional aircraft has been provided by NATO member states such as the United Sates, the United Kingdom, France, Switzerland, the Netherlands and of course Germany.
This year the lead nation is Norway, although the exercises are also taking place in Finland and Sweden. The drills began on Monday, May 25 and will continue till Friday, June 5.
