      USA: See rare beluga whale gives birth to calf

      Georgia Aquarium in Atlanta released footage on Friday of a beluga whale giving birth to a baby calk after three hours of intense labour on May 10.

      The 23-year-old whale named Maris gave birth to a female calf, who weighed 126.5 pounds (57kg) and measures 59 inches (149 cm) long.

      Mother and calf are said to be healthy.
