Greece: EU offices paint-bombed by radical leftists
A rally in favour of a greek debt write-off or a default by the Syriza-led government was held in central Athens by far-left organisations, anarchists and the radical sections of the Syriza coalition, Monday.
The protesters reached the EU offices in Athens, where they threw paint at the entrance of the building. Police guarding the building were left covered in red paint.
The protest coincided with Greek Finance Minister Yanis Varoufakis meeting the Eurogroup in Brussels to continue the negotiations with the European and International institutions (ECB, IMF and EU), who continue to demand the Greek government implement austerity, despite a popular mandate to reverse the externally-imposed policies.
