Belgium: Georgia shows integration process with Europe is beneficial - Margvelashvili
Georgian President Giorgi Margvelashvili said that the example Georgia is setting regarding "the integration process with Europe" is giving "a very positive message" concerning the potential "mutual benefits" for those engaged and for Europe's "friends and allies" in Brussels, Monday.
He also spoke about how a potential free-trade agreement is going to impact the development of the Georgian economy, saying he has also discussed furthering the relationship between Georgia and the European Union (EU) "in respect of visa liberalisation."
A decision as to whether Georgia will be granted a visa free regime with the EU is expected to be announced at the 4th Eastern Partnership Summit, which will be held in Riga, on May 21 and 22.
Margvelashvili also met with NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg and President of the European Council Donald Tusk on Monday.
