
Russia: Putin and Egyptian President Sisi exchange warm words after Moscow's V-Day parade
President Vladimir Putin met with Egyptian President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi in Moscow, Saturday, after both leaders took part in the Victory Day parade on Red Square earlier that day.
Putin thanked the Egyptian leader for attending the Victory Day celebrations and praised the good relations between Egypt and Russia. The Russian president said that both Sisi and Egypt had difficult tasks to face but stated that "we will do everything to jointly work on it, and to make our cooperation benefit both Russia and Egypt".
Discussing the Victory Day celebrations, Sisi said it was a pleasure to be in attendance and stated that "the role of the USSR in the fight against Nazism will be never be forgotten and no one can deny it".
Both presidents expressed their desire to further improve relations between the two countries.
