Residents of Lugansk received passports and documents from the self-proclaimed Lugansk People's Republic (LPR), on Tuesday.

The first owners of the documents were three 16-year-old residents who were presented with the passports by Igor Markov, the vice-minister at the Interior Ministry of the LPR.

All the pages of the new passports are filled out in Russian and the document appears to be based on the Russian model. The documents are considered to be valid passports in the territory of the LPR and in the Donetsk People's Republic (DPR/DNR).
