
Germany: Night Wolves lay tributes outside Maya Plisetskaya's Munich home
Members of the Russian Night Wolves Motorcycle Club laid floral tributes outside the home of the late Russian ballerina Maya Plisetskaya in Munich, Monday.
Maya Plisetskaya, who died from a heart attack on Saturday aged 89, was a former prima ballerina assoluta of Moscow's Bolshoi Theatre who retired as a soloist in 1990 at the age of 65. Her definitive role was in The Dying Swan, but she also had lead parts in Swan Lake , Carmen, and The Sleeping Beauty.
The Night Wolves Motorcycle Club are due to reach the German capital, Berlin, on May 9. Their 6,000-kilometre (3,728-mile) trek stretching from Moscow to Berlin is dedicated to the 70th anniversary of the Soviet victory over Nazi Germany.
