USA: Obama says truth 'absolutely vital' in Freddie Gray case
"It is absolutely vital that the truth comes out", U.S President Barack Obama said in a press statement in Washington when asked about the Freddie Gray case, Friday.
The president refused to comment on the legal process that is involved, but insisted that "justice needs to be served." Regarding the six Baltimore police officers who are being charged in the case, he commented that "they are also entitled to due process and rule of law."
"I want to make sure that our legal system runs the way it should", Obama concluded. The state prosecutor announced earlier on Friday that six police officers involved in Black American Freddie Gray were being charged.
