Italy: Protesters hold May Day rally against 'Expo Milano 2015'
Thousands of protesters took to the streets of Milan, Friday, to protest against the international exhibition 'Expo Milano 2015', which began on May 1st, and to celebrate International Worker’s Day.
Using International Worker's Day as a platform for their demonstration, thousands of protesters marched through Milan city centre in an attempt to highlight the alleged superfluous consumerism of the exhibition which brings in some 20 million visitors over a six-month period.
There were minor clashes with police during the rally, with police firing water cannons and protesters returning fire with missiles and flares.
