
USA: Sen. Rand Paul meets leaders of Orthodox Jewish community in New York
Kentucky Senator and Republican presidential candidate Rand Paul met with Orthodox Jewish leaders at the National Society for Hebrew Day Schools in Brooklyn, New York, on Monday, as he continues on his campaign trail in the run up to the 2016 US presidential elections.
Approximately 40 Orthodox Jewish leaders attended the one hour meeting with Paul. After a short introduction speech some selected leaders asked questions to the Republican presidential hopeful. The main issues raised and discussed were education, Paul's position on Israel and the recent nuclear deal signed with Iran.
The National Society for Hebrew Day Schools represents over 900 Day Schools all over the United States with 300.000 students.
