The world's best anti-terror squads resumed their team contests on Tuesday for the third day of the 7th Annual Warrior Competition at the King Abdullah II Special Operations Training Centre (KASOTC), close to Amman.

Special operations squads competed in seizing an Airbus plane, shooting terrorist targets, obstacle courses in the desert and releasing an injured hostage from 'terrorists.' The Russian national team is formed from servicemen of Russia's Chechen Republic law enforcement units. On Monday, they managed to take the first places in two events out of three and became bronze winners in the third one.

This year 43 teams from Jordan, Russia, US, Canada, Greece, Iraq, Lebanon, China, Afghanistan, Czech Republic, Kazakhstan, Colombia, Palestine, Malaysia, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Bahrain, Brunei and Turkey are competing in 10 team events, testing their endurance, shooting and tactical skills. The Annual Warrior Competition runs from April 19 until April 23, when the winners in each event in addition to the winners of the overall will be awarded.
