USA: Clinton's 'reset' took US-Russian relations back to pre-1989 - Rick Perry
The Democratic Party, and in particular presidential hopeful Hillary Clinton are responsible for resetting US-Russian relations "back to pre-1989," Republican Party member and former Texas Governor Rick Perry said on Friday. He made the comments during a speech at the First in the Nation (FITN) Republican Leadership Summit, held in the Crown Plaza hotel in Nashua, New Hampshire.
Perry, who is expected to take a tilt at the White House in 2016, also said that Russian President Vladimir Putin realised "Crimea would not be a problem to annex" after he had heard the "empty words" of the US towards the likes of Syrian President Bashar Assad.
"There is people looking at the United States and wondering what are we doing," Perry stated.
