
Spain: Russian vessel sank off Spanish coast
The Russian fishing vessel 'Oleg Naydenov' sank 15 miles (24 kilometres) off the coast of Las Palmas, Tuesday.
The boat was tugged out to sea by the Spanish Marine Rescue Services boat 'Punta Salinas,' after it caught fire with 1,500 tons of fuel on board on Saturday. All the 72 crew members were evacuated and no injuries have been reported.
The Marine Rescue Services have urged a mobilisation of resources to ensure a quick reaction in case fuel is spilled.
