
Iraq: US-led airstrikes destroy suspected IS vehicle near Tal Afar
Footage published by the US Central Command on Monday shows an airstrike against an alleged Islamic State (IS, formerly ISIS/ISIL) vehicle near Tal Afar, on April 14.
The airstrikes were carried by the US-led coalition and were conducted as part of Operation Inherent Resolve, an operation designed to eliminate members of the Islamic State and the threat they pose to Syria, Iraq, the Middle East and the world as a whole. The US-led coalition conducting the airstrikes is made up of 62 countries including the United Kingdom, Canada, Australia, Saudi Arabia and Jordan.
