      Russia: Deadly wildfires destroy Khakassia villages

      More than two dozen villages were caught in wildfires in Khakassia, Sunday. Local officials reported that over 118 houses were destroyed by the raging fires.

      According to the Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations (EMERCOM), the villages of Tsellinnoe, Troshkino, Shira, Kirba, Sabinka and others are under threat from the fire.

      At least five people are reported to have died in the fires.
