Ukraine: Poroshenko blames Stalin for outbreak of WWII
Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko blamed both Adolf Hitler and former Soviet leader Joseph Stalin for unleashing WWII during a speech at the National Historic Memorial of 'Bykivnia Graves' on the outskirts of Kiev, Thursday.
Poroshenko was joined by his Polish counterpart Bronislaw Komorowski, with both paying tribute to the tens of thousands buried at the site. The two led a minutes silence for the victims of "totalitarianism," with Kiev's leader calling on leaders and the general public to remember the "darkness" of September 1939. Both leaders laid a wreath at a memorial dedicated to history's fallen.
