Vietnam: 'Correct' to visit Ho Chi Minh City on 40th anniversary of reunification – Medvedev
Russian Prime Minister Dimitri Medvedev explained that he thought it would be "correct" to visit Ho Chi Minh City, Tuesday, given the fact that the 40th anniversary of Vietnam’s reunification will be celebrated on April 30, while meeting with People's Committee Chairman of Ho Chi Minh City Le Hoang Quan. He added that it was a great "pleasure" to visit the city.
Medvedev was in Hanoi, Monday, to discuss a free trade zone agreement between Vietnam and the countries of the Eurasian Economic Union (EEU). He also took part in talks to bolster industrial and energy cooperation between Russia and Vietnam with his Vietnamese counterpart Nguyen Tan Dung.
Medvedev is due to arrive in Bangkok, Thailand for bilateral talks later on Tuesday.
