Brazil: Meet Caroline Lima, the world's youngest one-armed surfer girl
Nine-year-old Caroline Lima, who had her forearm amputated 15 days after birth due to a stroke, showed off her surfing skills at Recreio dos Bandeirantes beach in Rio de Janeiro, Monday.
When she was born, doctors told Caroline's family that she would hardly be able to move. However, she showed huge determination to overcome her condition. Noted for her great ambition, she started surfing and also added other sports - such as capoeira - to her regime.
Her surf coach, Evelyne Telles, is confident that Caroline will be a great surfer one day.
