Europe's biggest toy store opened its doors in Moscow on Tuesday evening, after a seven-year hiatus for renovations.

The centre-piece of the new Central Children's Store on Moscow's Lubyanka Square will be the biggest Hamleys store in the world, bigger even than the world famous London branch. It will occupy 6,750 square meters across two floors of the reconstructed building.

One of the most trumpeted additions is one of the world's largest clock faces right in the middle of the building. Made in Russia by the Raketa Company, it has a 13 metres pendulum with the face measure 6 by 7.5 metres. Topping it all off is an observation deck named the 'Museum of Childhood,' with views over the Kremlin and Red Square.
