A metrobus burst into flames after its engine allegedly caught fire while driving along one of Istanbul's busiest roads on Tuesday. The 26-metre-long (85 foot) bus, made by Dutch brand Phileas, was traveling along the E5 freeway journeying from Sirinevler to Avcılar when smoke began to billow from its engine.
All of the passengers on board were evacuated immediately, while firefighters rushed to the scene to extinguish the blaze. An official investigation has been launched by municipality officials to find out what caused the fire.
