
France: National Assembly pays respects to Germanwings 4U9525 victims
Deputies stood up to observe a minutes silence at the National Assembly in Paris on Tuesday, paying their respects to the victims of the 4U9525 flight crash.
The Airbus 320 went down between Digne and Barcelonnette in Southern France en route from Barcelona to Duesseldorf. 144 passengers, including two infants and 16 students, and 6 crew members were on board the plane when it crashed. All passengers are believed to have died in the crash.
The plane lost contact at 10:53 local time when the plane was 6000ft in the air, after having descended for eight minutes. The black box of the Airbus 320 has reportedly been located.
