Saad Al-Jamal went for a walk with his grandchildren and his two lions on the streets of Al-Shabora refugee camp in Rafah in the southern Gaza Strip, Thursday.

Al-Jamal has achieved his dream of adopting lions after he acquired these two-month-old cubs from the Rafah Zoo.

The lions, named by his family Mona and Alex, live with Al-Jamal and his family at home, and he sleeps next to them every night. When the cubs are 15-months-old, they will develop adult teeth and will be able to attack and tear flesh. At which point, the Al-Jamal family may wish to reconsider their living situation!
