Russia: Greenpeace activists unfurl MASSIVE anti-pollution banner in St. Petersburg
Greenpeace activists unfurled a huge banner on the lawn in front of St. Petersburg's St. Isaac's Cathedral, Tuesday, protesting pollution and the construction of waste incineration plants.
The banner reads "Don't burn, recycle" in Russian. One protester ran around dressed as a giant comma, changing the meaning of the phrase from "Burn, don't recycle" to "Burn not, recycle!"
The protest was timed to happen while the organisation 'Working Group on Waste Management' met in the city's Mariinsky Palace.
