Russia: Soprano Sarah Brightman wanted to perform in space most of her life
Sarah Brightman, the British soprano who is currently training in Moscow's Star City to travel to the International Space Station (ISS), said that the journey has been a wish she has held "most of her life," in Moscow, Friday.
The artist is due to blast off on a Russian Soyuz spacecraft on September 1 in order to spend ten days on the ISS, about 420km (260 miles) above earth, where she wants to perform a song she wrote together with her former-husband, the composer Andrew Lloyd Webber.
