Ukraine: Radical MP Oleg Lyashko disrupts second parliamentary session in a WEEK
Radical Party leader and parliamentary Deputy Oleg Lyashko interrupted a speech by the head of the Ukrainian National Bank Valeria Gontareva in the Verkhovna Rada in Kiev, Friday.
Gontareva was calling for the refinancing of two major banks in Ukraine when Lyashko, accompanied by several other MPs, surrounded the podium and began to chant 'shame' and 'resign.' Gontareva left the podium and the chairman of the Rada emptied the chamber. When the session was recalled Gontareva did not return to finish her address.
It was the second time this week that Lyashko has caused a stir in the Ukrainian parliament. On Tuesday a fight broke out between the Radical Party leader and the leader of the Aidar volunteer battalion Sergei Melnychuk.
