
Russia: 'Ukraine conflict cannot be extinguished with US weaponry' - Lukashevich
Russia's Foreign Ministry spokesperson Alexander Lukashevich spoke out strongly against the presence of US troops on Ukrainian territory during a weekly briefing in Moscow, Thursday.
Lukashevich said American troops on ground would be a "danger to the safety of Russia" and would cause "colossal damage" to the bilateral relations between the two countries.
The Russian Foreign Ministry spokesperson went on to add that his office possesses information that "soon up to 300 soldiers of 173rd Airborne Brigade of the US Armed Forces, based in Italy are on their way to Yavorovsky proving ground in the Lvov Region of Ukraine."
