      The Houthi Revolutionary Committee removed security barriers protecting the American embassy in Sanaa, Wednesday.

      The American embassy evacuated its diplomatic staff last month and suspended operations, following unrest in the Yemeni capital.

      Houthi fighters managed to seize control of the capital in September, after which they dissolved parliament and formed a Transitional National Council.
