
Russia: Putin thanks Alexander Lukashenko for Minsk negotiations
President Vladimir Putin expressed his gratitude to Belasrusian president Alexander Lukashenko in Moscow Tuesday, for his role in organising the Minsk negotiations in the Normandy format.
"We are very grateful for the organisation of the recent, not very easy but absolutely necessary negotiations," Putin said after a Russian-Belarusian State Council meeting in Moscow's Grand Kremlin Palace.
Earlier in the conference, Putin announced that Russia and Belarus have agreed on a joint anti-crisis plan, aimed at further strengthening the bilateral and economic ties of the two countries.
