
Russia: 'OSCE not monitoring heavy weapon withdrawal concerns us' - Lavrov
Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov expressed his concerns about the OSCE not monitoring the withdrawal of heavy weapons, which had already been initiated by the DPR and LPR forces, in eastern Ukraine in Moscow, Wednesday.
At a meeting with the President of the French Senate Gerard Larcher, Lavrov said "the OSCE mission should be extended and strengthened." He suggested that these improvements with regard to "staff and equipment, and finance."
Lavrov believes that the success of the Minsk peace initiatives is riding on the "honest, objective, and unbiased approach of the observers." Additionally, the foreign minister thanked Larcher for working to heal divisions between Europe and Russia.
