Turkey: See ALL HELL BREAK LOOSE in Turkish parliament
A fist-fight erupted between politicians in the Turkish Parliament in Ankara, Wednesday, after a heated debate on security legislation ended in violence. Ertugrul Kurkcu and Sebahat Tuncel from the pro-Kurdish Peoples' Democratic Party (HDP) as well as three Republican People’s Party (CHP) lawmakers received injures.
The General Assembly brawl kicked off after representatives from HDP and the ruling Justice and Development Party (AKP) clashed over the effect the legislation would have on Kurdish minority groups. Both HDP and CHP members condemned the bill and the ensuing violence, stating that over 20 AKP members attacked opposition lawmakers.
