Ukraine: Intense attacks strike Lugansk before ceasefire takes hold
The eastern city of Lugansk saw shelling in residential areas Friday following a night of continued attacks. The houses were hammered by artillery and rocket fire, leaving many smaller homes completley destroyed or very heavily damaged.
The shelling began around 14.00 local time (12.00 GMT) in the north of the city. Unverified reports have put the death toll at around four.
Local authorities advised people not to go out as they suspect there could be more attacks launched against the city before tomorrow's ceasefire takes effect.
