
Russia: Putin tours children's fitness centre in Sochi
Russian President Vladimir Putin took a tour of a children's fitness centre in Sochi on Sunday, presenting his ideas on how to improve the facility.
The Russian leader took a general tour of the site, examing the medical facilities, the student living spaces, and the childrens‘ training sessions, even stopping for a chat with the young athletes.
After visiting the centre, Putin held a meeting with government representatives and members of the Presidential Administration to discuss the facility. He focused on the possibility of organising further childrens‘ physical, educational, and cultural activities at the site.
The centre was established as part of the President’s initiative in March 2013. Over 1,600 children from 36 regions of Russia have visited the centre since its creation.
