
Russia: 'Western powers threaten post-Cold War peace' - Putin
Western powers are trying to halt Russia's development and are threatening the 'peace' of the post-Cold War period, Russian President Vladimir Putin said in Sochi on Saturday.
Speaking at a gathering of the Federation of Independent Trade Unions of Russia, President Putin discussed a range of issues including the Russian economy, sanctions, and the success of the 2014 Sochi Olympics. The Russian leader also commented on the Paralympic movement as well as the rise of female athletes at the Olympics.
