Dramatic mobile phone footage has emerged of the moment when an RT TV news crew came under fire not far from the city of Uglegorsk on Friday.
The journalists took cover from sniper fire reported to have come from positions held by pro-Kiev forces after their convoy was stopped at a checkpoint. They were on their way to film the evacuation of residents from Debaltsevo.
According to the crews from RT's English and Arabic channels, they were pinned down for some minutes before DNR forces returned fire, allowing them to get to safety.
